Find the twenty fighter names with the most historical appearances across both r_fighter and b_fighter. Count every appearance, including draws and no contests. Exclude NULL or blank names. Treat exact source names as identifiers; do not count upcoming bouts. Return columns fighter, appearances, in that order. Order by appearances descending, then fighter ascending; return twenty rows. All source columns have TEXT affinity: cast numeric inputs before numeric comparisons or calculations. Counts and calculated numeric outputs must be numbers, not text. Use only the historical fights table (2010–March 2026); this is not complete UFC history or a live schedule.
